A Tie, A Close one and A good one.

October 7, 2023

Ah, welp, next time, please tell me to go home at a reasonable hour.

So first game was a tie. womp womp womp. No score in the first. The second Adam Babikian said in the warm room, it is going to end in a 0-0 tie, Final Touch would get a ricochet shot in off of the defense. Yep, Glen Marshall would light the fuse, Derek Anderson would get the credit from his butt as he got planted at the end of the play. Still in the Second, Derek would score again, this time legit, with Neil Foley on the assist. In the third, Green Goddess would get an early goal to cut the lead in half. Later, Mike Thomas would get the unassisted goal to Tie it up. . That would be it for the scoring. 2-2 tie. See that was the tie.

In game two of the evening. Welcome to game two. Quick Dam and Edge Doctor came out. 2 of the nicer uni's in the league. Shawn Smith back on the ice for his team was great to see. He immediately made an impact in his first shift, setting up a goal that Jimmy Meegan would finish from Neil Yee. Edge Doctor would settle in and get a goal in the 7 minute mark from Andy Morrison. Set up by Steve Manning and Adam Babikian. Yep, good to play with Steve again. In the second, the Doctor would get the Edge. Nick Nardone from Ben Mello would make it 2 to 1. In the third Edge Doctor revved it up. Adam Babikian would get a breakaway goal, set up by Andy. The next one was a thing of beauty by Morrison, froze everyone including himself. It looked like patience from the bench. Set up by Melissa Lemoine and Adam. Jeez Adam is all over this score sheet. Happy Birthday to me. Quick Dam would get some life, after an on-slot of attempts thwarted by Mike Dussualt in net, they finally would get a sweet (my tongue is bleeding as I bite down saying that) tip in by Shawn Smith. I freakin had his stick tied up. What the hell. The set up by Neil Yee. Not enough, as an empty netter later would put this to bed, 5-2. This is the good one. It was too.

And here we are on the close one. Votta Properties Vs. Manville Palace Pizza. Votta would start out with the first goal of the game. 30 seconds later, Manville would tie it up. Ryan Degnan with the goal and really adding to his stats. Later in the third, Votta would strike again making it 2-1. Sub scored both the first 2 goals, not sure who it was. In the second, Mark Kosinski would keep his league leading stats going up with a goal. Assisted by Degnan. In the third, Votta would top it again with a goal, Assisted by Kreg Labelle and Steve Donovan. but wait, Degnan would tie it up again, with Kosinski's help. These two are one and two on the leader board. Fast forward to the end of the game with under 40 seconds left, and Votta would put the game winner in, Al Whitton is the hero here folks. What a game though. Both Goalies put on a show. Tommy Martins getting the better of the Pizza. Shannon was obviously awesome as well. Really good games tonight. 4-3 Votta Properties with the win.

I know it is early in the season, but these teams are all close. Manville has a shit ton of goals. Edge and Touch are neck and neck. It is going to be the recipe for a great season. Everyone has a chance. Have a great week.
