FRIDAY NIGHT HOCKEY, ALIVE AND WELL!!

September 19, 2014

Manville Pizza took down the Goliath that is Roman Law in the first game last night. The Pizza was down by 2 in the first five minutes of the game but came storming back to tie it. The second period was full of back to back action. By the end of the second Manville Pizza would be in the lead by 1 and capped off the scoring in the third with the only goal. Pizza spread the sauce over the whole team. Keith Kreaunelis would lead Manville with a goal and 2 assists along with Frank Notorianni getting 2 goals. Brian Roman would lead his namesake team with a goal and 2 assists.

In the first shift of the game, Manny’s would give up 2 quick ones to Vescera. In the second, much like the first, a quick goal by Vescera Law would put the screws to Manny’s. Down by a 3 goal deficit, Manny’s stormed back and scored 4 unanswered goals. Heading into the third Manny’s shockingly were ahead by a goal. In the third Vescera pulled out all the stops and tied the game. Late in the period, Manny’s looked to be on the ropes as Brian Beck again dazzled the gold and put in what would seemingly be the game winner. Manny’s captain, Derek Signarello popped in the tying goal with just a minute on the game clock. Beck would end up subbing in 4 goals with Bill Vescera getting 2 assist to lead the Law. Manny’s was a team effort spreading out the goals to 5 different players.

In the final action of the night MSCCC faced 401 Consultants. In the first 401 would take the lead. They would score a quick goal in the first minute, popped in by Eric Campbell. Later in the period Chris Bach would step up from the blue line putting the coal in the stove. Late in the period, Gary Ouilette would lead off the scoring and finish the period down by one. That would be the last time in the game they would be down. In the second they would score 2 more. In the third MSCCC put a punctuation mark on the game scoring within a minute of the period. Later, they would cap off the scoring and make it a 5-2 Finish.
