Great Great Hockey Night!

October 13, 2017

Wow, what a night of hockey. This is why we come. Three very tight games all within a play of tilting the other way. The first game of the night pitted the gladiators of Roman Law versus the warriors of Votta Properties. As the doors opened and the ice was washed with crimson and purple as the skaters gracefully passed. The first period was a showdown as the goalies, Mike Baro and Dan Albertelli, were flawless. Finally Kenny Beck would crack the egg with a bank shot ala the MIZ THE MASTER Steve Mizerak, put it off a pad in front from behind the net. Tim Sheehan would follow that up with a one timer, on his second try of a one timer, set up by Shawn Smith. Votta would not give up as they put up a goal early in the third. Ricky Votta would set up Nate Arruda finally popping the balloon. In the end Kevin Bartels would bleed the clock to finish the game.

The second game was full of pleasant surprises. As Vescera Law took the ice, who knew they would come out to a 2 goal lead in the first. Shane McShane Shane McCormick would pop in both goals, the first was set up nicely by Rob Edleman. Yes Rob, we know you are 27 and 57. Last night it was 27. You aint foolin anyone, we know it's you. The second period was a stalemate. Mike Baro and Dave MacDonald, kept both teams honest. Coming into the third, Edelman would do it again. This time set up by McCormick and Dom Assini. Final Touch would not be done, Rick Vascencelos would bend the twine with a scorching one timer. Rich Dias, set the table for the unicorn. It would not be enough as the White would pull off the win over Final Touch.

In the final game, could it be, another close one. What a night. This might be the game of the night. It started with Mike "Junior" Dussault donning a rather large slice of pepperoni. Manny's would start the show by getting on the board thanks to Mike Thomas. It wouldn't last as the Captain himself, Dan Dussault would get his team on the board set up by Mark Kosinski and Steve Owens. In the second, Shannon Cavarly would begin the period with a nice goal, helped out by Steve Albertelli. This was the tilt that would set Manny's ahead. Mike Thomas and Jimmy Meegan would set up the 3rd goal for Manny's getting them up by 2. All was great in the world for the Hockey shop, until a one timer by Tommy Gaboriault would start the motor for Manville Pizza. Steve Manning would tie the game with a nice goal set up by Steve Owens. In the end, it would be Captain Dan putting his team ahead and winning the game for Manville Pizza. Again Wow what a game.

I love nights like this, everyone had a great time. Hockey is always fantastic!!!!

Thanks everyone, for a great night and league.
