In an instant, your whole perspective can change. One minute you are just an average Joe, the next you are a proud and happy grandfather. Well, I am anyway. For those of you who don't know, my daughter Julie and her husband Tyler (who is the namesake of Brian McDonalds son, connections all over) had a baby boy. He was born on 7/30 and was 7lb 11 oz. His name is Welles Matthew Avelar. The start of the next generation of NRI Hockey.

And now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Game one, was supposed have our very own emperor, unfortunately, he had a flat. In his place, the backbone of Wicked Rhode, Dave McCloud in between the pipes. He did an admirable job. Although, this is hockey, needed a goalie not an admiral. Green Goddess would get on the board finally in the second. Andy Morrison would get the first of three. Brian Cormier would get the sandwich meat goal in the third between the two by Andy. Jay Arruda with the lone goal for Vescera in the third. It would be Goddess winning 4-1 in the end. Securing a second or third spot in the standings.

Votta Properties and Quick Dam went at it. McCloud would get in a second game for the Friday Night league. In this one the same fate however. In the first the Dam broke the egg, with a goal by Mike Bragan. Lots of hatty's tonight. Bragan would get the first of his 3 for the hatty. Ralph Espilat the boo man group himself, would get the game winning goal early in the second. Bob Watts would round out the scoring for quick Dam making it 5-1.

And the game of the night. Final Touch Versus Edge Doctor. Final Touch would go up by 3 in the first with 2 goals by Mike Thomas and one by Ben Mello. The Doctor was in, and got one back early in the second, by Steve Owens. Mike Thomas would finish his Hat Trick. Never go to sleep on the Edge. Another goal by the DR with Mark Kosinski getting one by Mike Baro. Both Goalies were excellent by the way, with Mike Dussault on the other end. In the third, the lone goal by Kosinski would not be enough. A couple of assists by JW Preston for the Edge and 3 assists by Aimee Accinno for the Touch. It would be Final Touch 4-3. Great game

Votta Properties will take first. Edge and Goddess will either be 2nd Or 3rd. The Four spot looks like it will be Final Touch, but it could be Quick Dam. Final Touch can only finish in fourth or fifth. Quick Dam could win out and Final Touch could lose their last game, which puts Quick Dam in the 4 spot. If they lose out and Vescera could be tied with them by winning out. Which would mean Vescera Law would possibly have the 5 spot. Manville Pizza gets to play the first game against either Green Goddess or Edge Doctor. I have a popsicle head ache now.
