Its 2, 2, 2 Weeks in one
Ladies and Gentlemen, let me first apologize for my absence. I was celebrating Fathers day early. My kids bought me tickets to see DMB. The whole crew went including g-ma. Yep, the mother in law was jammin out to some Dave. in any event, that is my excuse. So here we are, back in the fold.
Last week, Vescera Law would take a win in the slightest of victories 2-1. Looks like it was a pretty exciting game. No score until the second period, where V-Law would put up 2. Pete Meegan would get the eventual game winner in the latter part of the period. Edge Doctor would not go quietly into that good night, as Iggy Gozman would cut the lead in half. Too little, too late unfortunately for the Doctor. Vescera wins 2-1.
Quick Dam finally came down to Earth a bit last week. Getting beat by Votta Properties. Votta always in the mix with some great team play. Ray Iannuccillo back in the fold. Great to see my man Ray! Votta would get 5 on the upstart orange. Steve Lombardi would get 2 to seal the deal in the third. I was surprised to see a couple of rough penalties in this one with Larry Lefebvre and Brian McDonald, a couple of Cumberland guys getting hot under the collar. Larry would put one in as measure of revenge, or Rache if you German. See the works of Sir Author Conan Doyle, A Study In Scarlet. In any event, Votta would go on you win 5-2.
In the late game, the one I really missed. Love you Final Touch. Suffice it to say the captain took care of business. Shannon Caverly had a goal and 2 assists. Way to go! Final Touch was up 3-2 in the first and 5-2 by the time the puck dropped for the third. Manville Pizzas' Dan Dussault would get his team headed in the right direction early in the third. Touch would match that one and add another with an empty netter to complete the win. 7-4 Final Touch over Manville Pizza.
Now to this week. Do you know I am so old, I remember having to answer a home phone. Truth. My oldest child turned 28 yesterday. WTF. But, I digress.
Here we go!!! Quick Dam turned their losing streak around. I guess a 1 game loss is not a losing streak. Maybe, it is the beginning of a new winning streak. Half full, half empty. In any event, I had to read this twice, Rich LaPlante got 2 goals and Brian Cormier got the other. Lets hear it for the D players. That's it boys. Vecera kept it tight but the game was over in the second. No goals in the third as Mike Junior and Mark Schaivone clamped down the net for the respective teams. Quick Dam goes on to win 4-3.
Still with me love?
Green Goddess and Final Touch went at it. Scott Reilly the hero for the Green. Celebrating his 50th with a couple of presents. It was last week, but happy birthday again Scotty! Hey Webby, someone filled your skates pretty well. Neil Yee got 4 goals as a free agent mercenary. Can you imagine all goals in the game were scored by only 2 players. They had help though. Both Goalies Played exceptionally, Shannon Murphy and Tommy Martins locking down. Really a 3-2 game with an empty netter. Final Touch wins 4-2.
Its the last game to Clarksville and I'll meet you at the station. Yep, here we are this long ass article is almost over. And luckily it will be short. Only one goal scored in this one. It was the sub-machine gun Don Votta, Handsome Ricky, R-Nizzo, Don Gouty, etc.. Whatever you call him, Manville Pizza loved him last night. He would get the only goal. Again, did everyone see our Man Ray. Ray Ionnuccillo is back. I think he got an assist in this one. In any event, Edge Doctor got edged out in another close one. 1-0 Manville goes on to win.
Tonight, tonight, tonight. Wicked Rhode is at Coach's Pub in Smithfield. Right down the road from Centerdale and 44. You can make it. 8pm start time. You can buy the whole seat, but you are gonna need your dancin shoes. Let's go support local music. The more that come, the funner it will be. I promise. Thank you in advance.
Hope everyone has a great week. First week of summer and it is hot hot hot.
