Merry Christmas everyone. BTW the headline is a quote from Charles Dickens. It is from A Christmas Carol. I am sure we all have memories of this time of year. Mine is vivid. My dad would start reading that book to us before bed a few weeks before Christmas every year when we were little. It was a wonderful tradition. Last night we had a wonderful new tradition, a little holiday gathering in the warm room. Great time, Pizza, Beer and Noons. Thank you Theresa Morrison for the Chili and the Beef Stew. It was awesome! All who contributed, thank you as well. 

Ok, First Game woot woot. Goddess Wins. 2 goals in the first. Shannon Reilly, Flexed her muscles for the first one and set the table. In the Second Manville Palace Pizza cut the lead in half with a goal by, Wait What, Ryan Degnan. Did he feel emasculated and had get one of his own? Goddess extended the lead a few shifts later. Early in the third, Degnan would get a second one! Things were looking up on the Dark side. In the end, Goddess would sink another. Mike Thomas with the exclamation point. 4-2.

Game 2. Welcome to game 2. Vescera Law V. Quick Dam. Another close game here. In this one, Vescera would put a 3 spot on the board in the first. Steve Lombardi would start the scoring early. Steve Lombardi with the other 2. The Manzo family would have the assists. The Law was in the drivers seat, until the end of the third. Quick Dam answered with 2 goals, one from Shawn Smith. Derek Franco, Neil Yee and Larry Lefebvre on the helpers. Early in the second QD would tie the game with Neil Yee bending the twine. Vescera Law, would take the lead in the third and hang on to win. Guess who, Steve and Shane with the goals. In the end it was 5-4 Vescera. 

Late game beeches! Final Touch and Edge Doctor. Turns out this was another good game. Final Touch got up on Edge Doctor early. Getting 3 goals. 2 goals in the first, one off the face of just 21 seconds into the game. Glen Marshall setting the tone for the yellow. Late in the period, Bob Killah Watts put the puck in the net from Derek Sandy Anderson and Aidens Mom Shannon. Early in the second, Sandy would muscle past the defense, me, and put the puck in off a rebound. Finally, thanks to Showtime, Edge Doctor got on the board with his patented one Timah! ALA Pasternak. By the end of the second, Sandy would get another one for with Killah on the helper, making it 4-1. Edge would have a valiant effort in the third. 2 goals by Mike Strayer. Yep Strayer off the shelf for this one. Showtime and Strayer, like the old days. Andy Morrison and Adam Babikian on the helpers. It would not be enough though. Final Touch would get the 4-3 win. 

I hope you all have a wonderful time with your families over the holidays. Please be safe, but laugh and smile. It is the best way to end a year and start one. With this group, the smiles and laughs are all around us, let's hope they are as contagious as advertised.
