Wow how the tables have turned
This Fridays action saw the return of league royalty with Pizzo and Goggles back in the fold. Great to see Pizzo has not lost his Jam skills with the long layoff.
In the first game, Votta places themselves 2 points in front of as the president trophy favorites. Ricky Votta himself started the scoring with Kreg Labelle and Neil Foley on the assist. They quickly got out in front 2 nil with a shot that willed its way through from Shane McCormick. Quick Dam got on the board thanks to Shawn Smith and Kevin Webster, setting the puck on a tee for yours truly. In the second the Dam would get another to tie the game at 2. Kevin Webster would get the goal with Smith and Sean Coffey on the assists. Votta would come storming ahead however with 3 goals in a row. Kreg Labelle would set up Neil Foley. My Boo, Ralph Espilat would get the next one, with help from Labelle and McCormick. McCormick would get another one, with Foley and Labelle on the helpers. Webster would stop the bleeding for Quick Dam with Smith on the helper. Webby would get another one, again with help from Smith and Brian McDonald. Shane McCormick would get another one with 5 minutes left for Votta. Late in the game, Neil Yee would get the 5th for Quick Dam. But it would not be enough. Votta wins 6-5
Green Goddess takes one step closer to the top of the heap. Beating Final Touch 5-3. Tim Pinsince and Ralphie Espilat would be the scoring tandum along with Jimmy Meegan. Espilat would start the scoring while Pinsince would finish it. Each getting 2 with Meegan getting the sandwiched goal. Final Touch would get three in this battle of wills. Steve Albertelli, Nick Miranda and Jim Galvin would be the Touch Scorers.
In the late game, it would be Glen Marshall would have an extra spring in his step this evening. Good for him. He would get a hatty for the Doctor. Derek Antunes would pitch in one and Pete Meegan would get the other two. 6 goals for Edge Doctor. Manville Pizza could only get one for the effort. It would Mike Bragan from Mark Kosinski and the Captain, Dan Dussault.
The top is no longer a three team race. However it still is up in the air.
