2 Ties and Roman domination

November 16, 2018

Schedule update: Playoff weekend April 5-7th!

Peter Meegan and Derek "green pants" Franco scorched the ice and the score sheet each getting a hat trick. Peter having 4 and Franco getting an assist as Roman Law destroys Green Goddess in the early game. The game started with a 3-1 lead for red, at the end of the first. And in minutes the dominoes really started to go down. Like a blink it was 6-2 for red and they would never look back. Shane McCormick got himself a hat trick in a losing effort for the Goddess. Tom Gaboriault would finish the scoring for the green and the night. With the Green V. Red it was like Christmas out there. Unfortunately Red was nice and Green was apparently naughty. Roman Law takes the game 9-4.

In the second game, as the crowd was watching, Manville Pizza would get the scoring started early. "that was easy" Mark Kosinski would pop the first with a goal just 41 seconds into the game. The teams were back and forth for the mid part of the first until the last shift where Barry Horton went D to D with Andy Meegan. Meegan took a shot and Mike Bragan would get the rebound to tie the score. This gave Final Touch the Mo as they would get the next goal midway through the second. Richie Dias would get the go ahead all by himself on a break. Manville Palace Pizza would knot it up in the 4th shift of the third. The action really heated up as Dan Claire would take the lead back for the Pizza from Gary Ouilette. The next goal came only of 5 seconds after the Pizza goal as Kevin "Webby" Webster put the ring ding in the ocean as Bragan won the face off. This one would end in a tie. 3-3.

In the final stanza Manny's Hockey Shop would remain in first place and undefeated. Vescera Law would not make it easy for the gold as the white would come out and break the eggs early in the second. Nate Arruda would get the go ahead from his brother Jay Arruda and it was on. This game was stout with great goal tending by both Dan Albertelli and Mike Baro and great defenses on both sides. It would be 1-0 for much of the game, an eternity for both teams. Midway through the third, Dominic Assini would keep Manny's from taking their first loss. He  would be set up by Captain Derek Signoriello.  How long can the streak last folks. Can Manny's maintain this pace. The target is on their back.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.

See you next Friday.
