The Ahab Report
Manville Pizza's Steve Sullivan scored with just over Six minutes left, earning a 3-3 tie with Manny's. Manny's jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead on a goal in the Second minute by Anthony Lisi, setup by Mark Ferreira, and a goal by Iggy Gozman from Dominic Assini at the Six minute mark. Less than a minute later Frank Notorianni would get The Pizza on the board on a nice feed from Dan Dussault. The Teams traded goals in the Second period, with Lisi and Ferreira combining for a second time for Manny's goal. In the end, Sullivan would score the equalizer on a feed from Steve Manning. On a side note, this game marked an astounding Fifth Tie of the season for Manny's.
Final Touch is starting to look like a horse that may be pulling away from the pack as We approach the final turn. They won Their Sixth in a row and remain unbeaten for Seven straight games. Captain Ahab when asked about His Team's performance of late, said, "We have to continue to get better each week, on not only offense, and defense, but on the power play, and in short handed situations. In every aspect of the game, really, because in This League, there is no rest for the weary, because every week there is another Team that is coming at You, so all You can do is try to improve each week. Most importantly, do Your job." Teammate, Matt Connell, who played like an uncaged animal all night, scoring a goal and setting up three other goals, while tenaciously attacking His opponent, said, "I don't know what the hell Ahab is talking about, but I guess He has a point. To Me, though, the key is Dan Albetelli, who quitely has not lost a game all season, since He didn't play for both of Our losses. If You take a close look at his goals against average, it's pretty sick dude, I'm just sayin."
Down 3-1 late in the Second period, 401 Consulting exploded for Three quick goals to take a 4-3 lead over Vescera Law, only to be disappointed by a late goal by the Law earning both teams, "The Kiss of The Sister", tie. The Two Teams traded scores in The First period before The Law jumped out to the Two goal lead. Ralph Espillat and Richie Dias combined for Three of 401's goals before Derek Franco and Bill Vescera hooked up for a goal. Rob Edelman scored Twice for The Law, before newly acquired Mike Bonin scored. Jarred Martin ended up getting the equalizer with less than Two minutes to play.
Happy, Safe 4th!!!
