Have you ever seen the rain?

January 27, 2024

I am a little cranky this morning. I had to play two games. My hips are killing me. I am over tired. And both games were losses. This is no way to end January. Here we go. Lower your expectations on this article.

So, there were three games tonight. I know there are three games every Friday. My point is, that all three games were fairly one sided.

In the first game, it was totally one sided. Final Touch's, Mike Baro, was the Tendy with the shutout. Tough to do in a beer league. Amazing actually. Final touch went to work. Glen Marshall in the first from Glen Mederios and Shannon Caverly. In the second, whomever was wearing number 68 scored for the flying maze. (we call it maze). Just under 2 minutes later Shannon set up Mike Strayer. In the third, Shannon set up Strayer again with Bob Killah Watts playing a part. The final goal for Final Touch, was the beer league mafia Capo, Aimee Accinno, set up by Sandy, Derek Anderson. 5-0. If you notice the captain got an apple trick.

In game two, Votta Properties took the ice against Edge Doctor. Votta got the party started. Kreg Labelle put the puck in the net with Ricky Votta and Al Whitton on the helpers. Edge would get on the board a minute later with Andy Morrison using the force and forcing it through. Votta Properties would win the second period with 2 goals. One from Kreg again. Then it would be the other guy, from Richie Dias and Sammy Woodward. Sammy is getting married. Congratulations. In the third, Al Whitton would get on the board, with Kevin Bartels on the helper. Love that guy. Richie would get a breakaway and put er in. Onther goal midway through for Votta from the sub. Edge would get another goal finally. Brian Pendergast would put it in. Late in the game, Richie would get another. Made it 7-2. Votta wins.

Late game. Sucks. I mean what. I will say, Mike Dussault left myself and Brian McDonald beer and Fireball. Thanks Mike. Goddess would score first in this one. Brian Cormier would be the recipient of an unfortunate play. It hit the back of my skate on the break out, FUCK. In the second, Pete Meegan would will the puck in from Jarred Martins point shot. In the third, Mike Thomas would get one and so would Peter Meegan. It wasn't over though. Quick Dam would finally get on the board. Kevin Labelle would solve the Frank Zabatta puzzle. Neil Yee and Frank Nardone the 4th. A minute later, Neil Yee would get one as well. This one from Shawn Smith and Derek Franco. it would not be enough. 4-2 the final with Goddess getting the win.

So, as the world turns, the hockey life turns with it.

Hope everyone has a great day. A great week and of course a great life.
