The Rink Was Alive With Hockey Fever

May 2, 2015

In the first game the Consultants, 401 that is, came out strong. They got the first two goals of the game, starting with Chris Hammond. Jay Cinq-Mars got the second one for his streak of 4 goals in as many games. With Under 2 minutes to go in the first, Manny's stepped it up. Remember how I told you about Jay Cinq-Mars getting a goal, well It was not really Jays. JW Preston had a little scoring streak of his own. JW would score one for 401 as well as Manny's. Reports from the warm room said, his first goal for the other team, was a nicer shot than the one for his own team. JW would start the scoring for Manny's which gave the Gold and Black 3 unanswered. 401 Would tie the game 19 seconds into the final period. Yet, Manny's would buckle down and win the game 5-4.

In the second game, MSCCC dominated from the start to finish. Mike Thomas and Gary Ouillette were beast in this one. Thomas would score the game winner and the finisher. Ouilette would get a goal and an assist. Mark Ferreira would score the lone goal for Final Touch, with a SHOW assist. Although MSCCC would disagree, the warm room was looking for Myers to score. He promised a "SHOW-ANGEL", I guess we will have to wait.

To the final game Batman.

It would be Roman Law getting on track. After back to back losses and a by week, THE LAW was ready. A goal 20 seconds into the first would carry the play throughout. The 7-4/4-7 combo was too overpowering for Manville Pizza Palace. Peter Meegan and Rob Edleman each got 2 goals and 2 assists for the team and for each other. Jay Pires would find the puck early and often between the pipes. Pizza was thwarted by Pires until the third, when Rich Dias and Jodi Pachomski would be the goal getters for the Palace. Yet, it was too late. The Pizza Fought the Law, But the Law WON.
