Three Close Games In the NRIAHL this Week

October 24, 2015

This week, the teams got a little chill in the air. The crisp air didn't stop the diehards from tailgating after their games. Thanks to Governo and Diaz for providing food and heat.

With Eric Governo's heater getting ready outside, His team was heating up the ice in the arena. Roman Law is tearing up the standings this season, now tied for second. The Law took on 401 Consulting for the second place nod. The teams were tied through the first and much of the second. Bobby Jordan would start the scoring with linemates Dave Roleau and Kelley Hoover getting the assists. This line would score the next 2 as well with each getting a goal, Roleau, from Hoover and Jordan and finally Hoover from Jordan and Roleau. It wouldn't be enough as Sean Smiths would grab the Chapeau and 2 assists to lead his team to victory 7-5. Eric Campbell would get the game winner late in the third.

In the second game, Manville Palace Pizza would hope to keep their streak alive as they entered the rink winning their last 2. However, they ran into a hot MSCCC team with a winning streak of their own. MSCCC would get an early goal with just 31 seconds ticked off the clock. Jodi Pachomski would quickly tie it up and get his team a lead all in the same shifts. Gary Myers would be spoon feeding his linemates all night to give the Pizza a chance. Pachomski would get the sombrero in this one. Pete Sanchione would lead his team with 2 goals and 2 assist. It would be Gary Ouilette with the late tying goal to grab the point for MSCCC.

In the final match up with an air of controversy, Vescera Law would face Manny's Hockey shop. Manny's would look over the center line at a full and loaded team. Undaunted, even down a man on their bench. Derek Signoriello would start the scoring in the first. Mannys would hold onto the lead until Vescera would tie the game with a goal by Ricky Vota. The story of the game was the Hat Trick in the third by Dan Claire. Claire would single handedly win the game for Vescera 4-2.

It was another tight week. Hope you all had fun.

See you all next week
