TIE TIE AND A ROUT

February 16, 2018

A couple of great games last night. Starting with the east coast action. Green Goddess got out in front early with a goal by Andy Morrison. Morrison would collect his own blocked shot and stepped in for the goal. Just 11 seconds later, Ray Iannuccillo got it right back for Roman Law getting it from Jay Cinq-Mars and Brian Roman. Later in the period Joe Martin and Neil Foley On and on they went, back and forth with Mike Baro (filling in for Dan Albertelli. Albertelli played out to cover for Kenny Beck.) And Mark Schiavone on the other end, keeping their teams respectively. Andy Morrison was the man for Green Goddess getting a hatty. He would put the team ahead 4-1 as the started the 3rd. Shawn Smith would put the Red on his back and scored with Tim Sheehan and Brian Roman. That goal started the Domino effect for the red. Ray Iannuccillo would get the next goal, getting the home run from yours truly. Shawn Smith would wisely call a time out with a little over a minute to go. He would set up pulling the goalie. With just 22 seconds left on the game, Shawn would score and giving another late game tie to Roman Law and Green Goddess. Deja Vu all over again.

Manville Pizza would lead 8-0. A total of 12 goals by Manville Pizza, led by Dan Dussault who would not only start the scoring, but would get 4 goals in total and not only that, he would also get the game winner. Damn, talk about leading your team to victory. Vescera would make up some ground in the second by getting 3 in the second starting with a goal by Dominic Assini. In the end Pizza would hang on to win 12-5. But it was close.

Finally in the west coast feed, Manny's and Votta would go out to face each other. Manny's would come out ahead in the first period scoring twice. Bobby "Goggles" Jordan would get one unassisted to start the game. Mike Strayer would get the second midway through the beginning period. In the second, Votta Properties would dig deep and start the road back. Chad Labaste would get the unassisted starter for Votta and late in the period, Nate Arruda would tie it up. The third would be just goalies Mark Clarkin and Jason Pires, keeping their teams in it and preserving the tie.

Another great night of hockey boys and girl.

ONE PSA! you should be paid up by now. Lets not have an issue come playoffs. BTW, it looks like our beloved Gingel is on the same weekend as playoffs. That could be an issue. Just saying.

Have a great week!!! Live, Breathe, Love.......................................HOCKEY!!!!
