Weird, we had a Sunday game week.
Hey folks, can you believe we had a Sunday game? Well you did, I didn't but I was there.
Anyway, going quick on this, cause I am supposed to be working.
The first game saw Manville Pizza up by 4 going into the third period against Vescera Law. Peter Meegan, Jay Cinq-Mars and Glen Marshall put the puck in the net in the first to jump out to the lead. Marshall also got the lone goal in the Second. That said Vescera put down the law in the third, putting the puck in 4 times to come away with the unlikely tie. Will Vescera getting 2, including the tying goal. Kevin Webster and Paul Praderio rounded out the scoring. 4-4 kids. What a game.
In the second game, Edge Doctor and Votta went at it back and forth. The Titans of the league were vying for the first place prestige. Votta got on the board 3 times early in the first with Steve Lombardi, Frank Nardone and Ricky Votta would get on the board for the Purple. Late in the first Ed Cardoso would put would in for the Edge. Adam Babikian would also cut into the lead for Edge Doctor getting an early second period goal. Votta would stretch the lead having Lombardi putting another goal in the back of the net. Or did he? Is that the phantom goal? 2 more by Votta, Richie Dias and again Lombardi on the scoresheet, Lombardi completing the hatty. Edge Doctor would catch up getting 3 of their own by Steve Donavan, Mark Kosinski and Kreg Labelle closed the gap going into the third. In the third, Steve Owens would get it tied up in the first minute. They could not hold on as Votta would get a couple, one by Ricky Votta with GWG and the dagger by Richie Dias. Votta wins and takes the top of the standings 8-6.
The late game had Quick Dam and Green Goddess going out there with Mike Dussault in his second game of the night. Long day for that rock star. Quick Dam got the first one in the first with a goal by Mike Bragan. Late in the first Wayne Davis, New to the league, put the puck in the net. Early in the second Bragan would take the lead back for the Quick. It would not last as Kevin Schleicher and Chris Palmeri would take the lead. Late in the period Quick Dam would tie it up. In the third, Dussault would clamp it down as Goddess would get 4. A couple by Andy Morrison, another by Schleicher and Larry Lefebvre would clean it up for the Sunday best. Green Goddess with the 7-3 win.
See you all next week.
