First games of the playoffs in the books

April 5, 2019

As it was written, so it shall be. The three top teams won over their rivals. Roman Law started their journey through this weekend with Rich Laplant starting off the game with a goal. Shawn Smith would impress his lady by scoring the next one. Peter Meegan would sure up the first period with a 3-0 lead. Jimmy Meegan would follow it up in the second. Then late in the third, Pete would RePete and Jimmy would ReJimmy. Late in the third Final Touch would finally touched the back of the net. Rick Mercuri bent the twine in a scramble.

In the second game Votta Properties and Green Goddess took the ice. The first period was almost untarnished as they skated 0-0 until very late in the period. It would be the Young Adam Babikian in a fluke goal that found rolled over the goal line between Juniors leg. In the second, Ralphie Espilat would get the eventual game winner. Still close at 2-0 the Goddess kept in the game. Early in the third, My Boo would get another and seal the game. Or was it Craig Pizzo with a great tip into his own net that sealed it? In any event, Late in the game and after being beat up a bit, Shane McCormick would get one by the keeper Jason Pires to avoid the shut out.

In the final game of the evening, Manville Pizza, the evil empire, was on a tear, early in the first. Just 34 seconds in Sean Forrant would find the twine from Jared Martin and Mark Kosinski. Later it would be the Kosinski show again and scored again. MPP yeah you know me, was off to a brilliant start. And then it was the Edleman show. Robbie would get one mid second. Brandon Bell would be set up by Edleman for the second and tie goal. In the third Robbie again would get another almost the same time in the third as the second, set up by Nate Arruda. Nate would take over get a goal of his own and pop in two EN for the hatty.

And here we are. Tonight's action will start with Vescera Law against Manny's Hockey shop. I heard last night that I have been a bit bias in my reporting saying that Manny's is the greatest team ever. I went back and looked, I never wrote that Clarkin. In the later game it will be Roman Law against Votta Properties. Both games should be worth the price of admission.

See you all at the rink!!!!

LIVE, BREATHE, LOVE............................HOCKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
